As the inaugural Social Media Video Editor at The Red & Black, I produced and filmed short-form video content for Instagram Reels and TikTok across culture, breaking news, sports, and food & drink coverage. My work focused on translating reported stories into visually compelling, platform-native videos that prioritized pacing, soundbite clarity, and audience retention.

Across 96 short-form videos, my content generated 780,000+ views and 28,500+ likes, with 22% exceeding a 10-second average watch time—a key indicator of strong viewer engagement in short-form news content.
